Okay so I am a little obsessed with the Fitness pins on Pinterest and found this 30 Day Butt Challenge... I've been wanting to tone up the tush for a while so I figured... Why not start today? Most people start a challenge at the first of a month but I'm starting right now...well...3 days ago haha.. I think I can make it through the whole way and hopefully we'll see a nice difference. Let me know if you wanna join in in the comments, I'd love to have you along. You can start anytime!
Tuesday March 11th- Day 1 12th- Day 2, 13th- Day 3
QUESTIONS: 1. What started it all off for you? I think it started when me and my family started eating better. I started looking at the ingredients in my beauty/personal care products.
2. What was the first thing to go? (Ingredient or product) Parabens and Sulfates for sure.
3. What are you or what did you struggle to let go of? I haven't really struggled to let go of anything. Every non natural thing I have let go of I have found better natural products. 4. What has been your best find? (i.e a green product or a tip that you're really glad you've found/learnt) Creamy cleansers probably. My skin hates anything that lathers. A couple of products I have been loving lately are the Acure lemongrass lotion, the Rainwater Botanicals Antioxidant serum, and the Andalou Naturals Apricot Cleansing Milk. (those are all talked about in my February Favorites) And coconut oil of course is amazing ;) 5.
What has been the worst thing about going green? What has been the
hardest to transition or find an adequate green replacement of? I have yet to find anything bad about going green. Other than it's a little harder to get your hands on natural products. 6. Anything else to add? Any tips or tricks to pass on? Start off slow, don't trash and replace everything all at once. It's a journey for sure. Do your research, don't rely on product packaging to tell you how natural something is. Buy online if you can. It's much cheaper. I like using LuckyVitamin and Vitacost. Follow natural bloggers. This has helped me SO much! It's great seeing real people opinions of products and helps you find less popular brands. And speaking as someone with acne, don't expect your acne to magically go away. Diet as A LOT to do with your skin. My skin is at it's best when I eat mostly raw fruits and veggies. With lots of water and no sugar :)
I loved my outfit this day and my makeup look! So here it is.
Shirt- Kingsfoil band tank top- I looove this shirt. It was Micah's but he can't wear it so he gave it to me and while he was here he played me some music from them and they are kind of my music obsession right now. More to come on them in my March Favorites. Cardigan- This is from JC Penny I believe. Jeggings from Target, Shoes from Payless.
I've been really liking this look, it was just in my New Makeup Looks post. TANF Eye Primer All the shadows are Brija- Bachelor Watson (lid, inner corner, brow highlight), Yzmopolis (mid. lid), Consulting Detective (crease) TANF Dark Brown Diva Stick (liner) Oh Sudz light warm concealer under my eyes, Burts Bees Hibiscus Lip Balm Brija Painting Roses lip gloss
This is mostly the same as my GRWM so I'm just gonna pair it together since it's almost the same.
In the video I used the ELF eye primer (it was before my all natural face one), as well as the Physicians Formula black liner and just the Painting Roses gloss.
I got inspired to do this post by Brianna's post on her makeup looks. They are gorgeous! Here are some of the looks I'm been trying out with my new makeup (To see that Haul click here)

Skincare Saturday #10? I can't believe I've kept up with it this long! This is also a Green Your Routine. Finding a natural product of something you use a lot OR finding a natural alternative for things you barely hear about in the natural world (like razors).
When it comes to lotion I really wanted to switch that to natural as soon as I can since I like to slather it all over my body.
The Acure lotion is wonderful! The lemongrass scent I have seriously smells like spring air! And just a little like citrus. I got this not even a month ago an it's already more than half gone! The other great thing about this is that it moisturizes enough without feeling greasy or oily! This is far from oily! I had the orange scent before but like this one even more. This is a perfect lotion for me. I got it from Whole Foods for $9 but you can get it on LuckyVitamin or Vitacost for just a but cheaper.
Things to look for in lotion- Aloe: Aloe is naturally calming and soothing. Butters: (shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter) These natural butters are very deeply nourishing and moisturizing to skin. Oils: (Olive oil, coconut oil, rosehip oil, evening primrose oil, avacado oil, ect.) Natural oils are wonderful for moisturizing your skin and making it glow.
Things to AVOID in lotion- Alcohol- This is drying to skin. Water- Although this isn't bad for you it again can be naturally drying. Silicones- This is a 'fake' moisturizer. It acts kind of likes plastic to coat the skin, keeping anything from leaving your skin or good things (like vid. D) from the sun) out of your skin.
